Tsara Komba Exclusions 2024/2025 

Rates exclude beverages and bar expenses, room service, tourist tax (to be paid on site), a la carte or additional meals, entry visas, all activities and excursions, arrival and departure transfers from Nosy Be Airport, Hell Ville Port or Ankify Port (road & boat transfers), full-day deep-sea fishing, PADI qualifications, scuba diving, in room spa treatments, laundry, boutique purchases, gratuities and personal expenses and extras listed below. A 20% Malagasy Tax applies to all billable items at the lodge. 

Tsara Komba Extras 2024/2025 

+ Single Supplement: 50% of the nightly rate. 

+ Conservation levy of € 75 per adult and € 40 per child older than 4 per stay (non-commissionable). 

+ 20% Malagasy tax charged on all purchases at Tsara Komba (non-commissionable). 

+ Road & Boat Transfers without meet & greet from Nosy Be Airport / Hell Ville to Tsara Komba €95 per person per way (non-commissionable). 

+ Road & Boat Transfers with meet & greet from Nosy Be Airport / Hell Ville to Tsara Komba €115 per person per way (non-commissionable). 

+ Road & Boat Transfers with meet & greet and visa assistance from Nosy Be Airport / Hell Ville to Tsara Komba €135 per person, per way (non-commissionable). 

+ Boat Transfer from Hell Ville Port to Tsara Komba €80 per person per way, child €45 (non-commissionable). 

+ Boat Transfers from Ankify Mainland to Tsara Komba €65 per person per way, child €45 (non-commissionable). 

+ Additional adults, 18 years and older, staying in an Ocean View Suite pay the full adult rate (non-commissionable). 

+ All commissionable unless otherwise stated. 

Tsara Komba Children Policy 2024/2025 

Children of all ages are welcome at Tsara Komba. Children under 17 years of age are 50% of the nightly adult rate. Children under 4 years of age stay complimentary, when sharing with an adult. Conservation Levies are applicable for children aged 4 – 17, while children under the age of 3 are free of charge. Some of our activities may be unsuitable for younger children. 

Adults are responsible for supervising their children at all times. 

Tsara Komba Conservation Levies 2024/2025 

Relevant Conservation Levies to be added to accommodation cost (per person per stay). These costs are subject to change. These costs are subject to change.

Park access fees are applicable to Lokobe National Park and Tanikely Marine Reserve.

Time + Tide Provisional Booking 

Bookings made within the same month of travel will be held for a maximum period of 5 days; For bookings made within 3 months of travel, a holding period of 2 weeks will be applied; for all bookings traveling 3 months and onwards from the date of booking, a maximum hold of 4 weeks will be applied.  

We reserve the right to release any bookings not confirmed within this period. In extraordinary circumstances, we will hold the booking for longer than 14 days. 

 Should there be requests for the same dates – we will require confirmation of the booking and payment of the deposit within 48 hours.

Time + Tide General Booking Terms 2024/2025 

Travel Insurance: Upon booking confirmation, guest to ensure that the appropriate comprehensive travel and medical insurance is taken out to protect against, inter alia, cancellation or interruption of tour, personal accident, emergency evacuation expenses, medical expenses, repatriation expenses and loss of baggage. Time + Tide cannot take responsibility for external events that may result in travel delays e.g. adverse weather conditions, rescheduled / missed flights etc. The guest is responsible for any and all expenses that arise as a result of last-minute changes to itineraries. 

Tsara Komba Payments 2024/2025 

A commitment fee of 25% of the total cost of your booking or the cost of any third-party services held, whichever is higher, is required to confirm the booking and secure the space. This is non-refundable and due within 14 days of confirmation. Full and final payment of the remaining balance is required 30 days before travel. 

Time + Tide Tsara Komba accepts payment as: 

Electronic Bank Transfers Funds transferred to Time + Tide should be the full amount invoiced. The payee is liable for all foreign exchange commissions and / or bank charges. 

Credit Card 

Time + Tide accepts payment by all major credit cards, including virtual credit cards (VCC). A service fee of 4% will be charged for each transaction.

Tsara Komba Safaris Gratuities 2024/2025 

Tipping is customary to tip at your discretion however, we prefer that guests tip the staff at the end of their stay, rather than throughout their stay. 

We generally advise $15 – $30 per guest per day. 

Please hand any tips to the Manager on departure. Every tip is divided amongst the staff, both those you have and have not seen during your stay. 

Tsara Komba Cancellation Policy 2024/2025 

From confirmation date – 46 days: 25% of total booking value. 45 – 0 days: 100% of total booking value is due. Issued flights are non-refundable.
