Nosy Mamoko & Nosy Kisimany
Nosy Mamoko, where the boat will moor near a charming fishing village surrounded by dense forests. You can admire the Makis lemurs or the giant tortoises and head over to the waterfall or continue up the river through the mangrove swamps. Part of this island is still “fady” (sacred).
Next, head for Nosy Kisimany to join a delicious picnic before setting off to discover this pretty enclosed bay (a real natural crater) and come accross the centuries-old baobabs around the beach. The waters surrounding the island are particularly rich. You will have the opportunity to discover them snorkleling. It’s rare not to encounter dolphins there.
It is also said that each year a dhow from Zanzibar comes to stock up on shark oil.
Two very picturesque sites you definitely should see!
