As the name implies, the island is a favourite among large numbers of turtles who come to lay their eggs on the soft sands each year. Nosy Iranja comprises of two islets connected by a slender sandbank, creating an ephemeral path that invites visitors to wander between these two pieces of paradise. The experience of walking this sandbank, with the ocean gently lapping at your feet, is nothing short of magical. A 4-hour trek can take you to the highest point of Nosy Komba.
