Snorkeling at Nosy Tanikely

Nosy Antanihely, the “Island of the little earth” or Nosy Tanikely has acquired the status of Protected Marine and Coastal Area over the years. Known for its outstanding marine and land-based biodiversity, this island is the one most frequently visited in the archipelago. With a mask and a snorkel, you will discover the underwater wonders of which this natural aquarium abounds. A must!

But Tanikely is also home to a superb white sandy beach simply perfect for picnicking. At the island’s peak you’ll find a lighthouse dating from 1908, (with the former lighthouse keeper Omar being the island’s only inhabitant) providing an opportunity to observe the flying foxes in the branches of the fruit trees… You’ll also find the Common Brown Lemur here.
